Or my reaction is atypical. I've had some unusual reactions to other substances, such as finding magnesium glycinate stimulating to the point where, if I take it at night, I won't sleep at all. It's one of the most powerful wakefulness promoting substances I've tried, and for most people it knocks them right out.
I suppose the eugeroic effects through promotion of orexin synthesis must be fairly minor, or maybe delayed, if your sleep was smoother overall.
